We are thrilled to share a significant update on our flagship project: the Sendafa-Beke Public Library. Thanks to the foundational $5,000 raised since our launch, the renovation work has officially begun!
The building, generously provided by the local government, is now a hive of activity. Our first phase of work has focused on securing the structure, repairing the roof, and preparing the interior walls for plaster and paint. Local craftspeople are working alongside our team, ensuring this library is truly built by the community, for the community.
Our founder, Kass Kebede, recently visited the site and was moved by the progress. “To see these walls, which were once silent, starting to prepare for the sound of children reading is a dream taking shape,” he said. “Every dollar donated is being turned into a tangible result right here.”
We are currently fundraising for the next phase, which includes installing windows, doors, and electrical systems. Follow our journey as we move closer to our goal of opening the doors in December 2025.
