Kassahun (Kass) Kebede is an Associate Professor of Sociology and Justice Studies at Eastern Washington University (EWU) since 2015. Beyond academia, Kass is passionate about literacy development in Ethiopia. He founded Libraries for Ethiopia (LiFE), a charity dedicated to providing children in his rural hometown with access to books, community spaces, and educational opportunities. Kass grew up in rural Ethiopia where access to educational materials is limited.
